Cotton Fleahopper populations are growing in the cotton fields of the Texas Coast.  Several fields have required treatment over the past week and we will be making applications for an insecticide trial Friday.

With the delays we have already had in planting and in cotton maturity, we cannot afford to lose the early fruit.  While I have not advocated for protecting the first three fruiting positions in the past, I believe these may be more important this year.  Especially if we have a wet fall.
