Dear Friend of 4-H,
Our Wharton County 4-H membership has exploded in the recent years and we are on track for breaking even more records. Some accomplishments our kids have made the past year are as follows:
- 18 students advanced to state
- 2 national qualifiers
- 36 county Recordbooks submitted
- 28 district Recordbook qualifiers
- 30 Kids in the Kitchen participants
- 23 Kids in the Sewing Room participants
- 19 attended Jr. Leadership Lab
- 6 Coastal Bend 4-H Sportsfishing Day participants
- We have youth representing us as a Texas Youth Livestock Ambassador, Texas 4-H Equine Ambassador, Texas 4-H Photography Ambassador, State Officer and more!
- 225 attended 4-H banquet with 93 4-H members being recognized for their achievements
This is just a snapshot of what our members have accomplished since May! We are seeing much more involvement in shooting sports, robotics, STEM and more.
To continue to grow and reach more youth, we are asking for you to team up with Wharton County 4-H Parent and Adult Leaders Association and join us as a sponsor of the Wharton County 4-H Green Hearts Club. We have several levels of membership to match what fits best with your situation from $48 to $1,000 and more details can be found on the following sheet. Your membership will go to making the best even better by expanding our current and future programs, issuing scholarships, providing prizes for competitions, and most importantly funding our future leaders in this great county.
