4-H Hunting Project Coach Training
Southeast Region, College Station December 8 – 9, 2018
Register for the 4-H Hunting Project Coach Training to become a certified leader in your county. The training will cover all firearm types used in a 4-H Hunting Project and a Shooting Sports Hunting and Wildlife project; rifle, shotgun, archery, and muzzleloading. Additionally, participants will receive their Texas Hunter Education Instructor Certification.
The 4-H Hunting Project Coach certification allows:
- the adult coach to lead a 4-H group through a hunting project and use live fire
- the adult coach to train a 4-H group to participate in the Hunting & Wildlife events at the 4-H State Games and the Youth Hunter Education Challenge sponsored by NRA
* The certification differs from a 4-H Shooting Sports Coach Training in Archery, Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun and does not cover the same depth of information per shooting discipline or coaching technique.
Dates: December 8 – 9, 2018; the training will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue into that evening. Training will continue on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and end by 4:00 p.m.

Registration: Opens October 24, 2018 on 4-H Connect (https://texas.4honline.com). All registrants must be enrolled as 4-H members or adult volunteers on 4-H Connect and have a current Youth Protection background check. This process takes time to complete so begin now by working with your local county Extension office. Registration includes meals for Saturday lunch and supper, Sunday lunch, 4-H curriculum, and all shooting expendables.
