2019 WCEEA Scholarship Applications Due Mar 12

ATTENTION SENIORS: The Wharton County Extension Education Association Scholarship deadline is March 12, 2019. The applications have been attached to this email. Please read over the rules and guidelines carefully:

Applicants must be high school seniors, registered and attending one of the five Wharton County high schools or home schooled in the county. The person applying must have been an active member of 4-H for at least 4 years and have been enrolled as a Senior 4-H member for a minimum of 3 years of the four. An applicant may apply for both the EEA & 4-H scholarship if applicant meets requirements. The applicant will only be awarded one scholarship.

How to Apply

Applicants must use the forms available at the Wharton County Extension Office at 315 E. Milam St., Suite 112 Wharton, TX 77488 or the county website at agrilife.org/wharton4h

Each application requires one teacher recommendation and one 4-H recommendation from either a 4-H club manager or a 4-H project leader. The completed recommendations are to be returned to the applicant and included in the application packet.

Each application must be accompanied by the following items:

  1. Official high school transcript
  2. 2 wallet size photographs (head and shoulder pose only): one attached to top left hand corner of application, and one for news release
  3. 4-H Scholarship Information Sheet
  4. Teacher and 4-H recommendation.

The completed application form and attachments must be returned to the county Extension office, 315 E. Milam, Suite 112, Wharton, Texas 77488, by March 12, 2019.

 No Late Applications Will Be Accepted.
