Prescribed Burn School April 19 – 21, 2023 – San Angelo, Texas

Dr. Morgan Treadwell is back with her first Prescribed Burn School for 2023 in San Angelo, Texas on April 19 – 21! If you are curious about prescribed fire or would like to get more hands-on experience, this 3-day school is for you! View the agenda here.

 

Who is this School for?

This school is open to anyone who is interested in getting more prescribed fire experience on rangelands. Ever written your own burn plan? Need a refresher? This is the school for you, leave here knowing how to write your own burn plan, who to contact, smoke management in Texas. In addition to hands-on demonstrations, there will be new resources on communication, building a fire culture, and laws and regulations.

 

What do I get from participating in this School?

This Prescribed Burn School meets the TDA (Texas Department of Agriculture) Certified and Insured Prescribed Burn Requirements. You will receive 24 hours’ worth of curriculum. A field day and the CIPBM exam is included as well! For each day that you attend, you will receive 6 Continuing Fire Training credits.

 

How much does this School Cost?

The Prescribed Burn 3-Day School costs $200 and registration can be found here!
