2019 Rural Land Value Trends Report

2019 USDA Land Values Summary

The USDA recently released their 2019 Land Values Summary, which reports average agricultural land values across the United States.  To view the report, click here.   The report looks at the value of agricultural land across the country in several different categories.  Information comes from USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service survey responses. Each year, the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers publishes the Texas Rural Land Value Trends report.  This document provides helpful, interesting information for Texas landowners on both average property value and lease rates for agricultural land across the state. USDA – 2018 Land Values Summary

The USDA recently released their 2018 Land Values Summary, which reports average agricultural land values across the United States.  To view the report, click here. The report looks at the value of agricultural land across the country.  The broadest measure is the “farm real estate value,” which measures the value of all land and buildings on farms.  For 2018, the average farm real estate value of the United States was $3,140/acre, up $60/acre from last year.  For Texas, the average was $2,280/acre, a 9.1% increase from last year. … Read More →

New Texas Rural Land Value Trends Report Published

The most recent Texas Rural Land Value Trends Report (2017) has been released by the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. For a copy of the 2017 Report, click here. USDA Releases Agricultural Land Value Report
