Wrapping Up a Busy Few Weeks: Programs, Workshops, and AALA

It has been a busy few weeks full of travel, learning, and connecting with people across the country. From programs and workshops in Bryan, Texas to the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA) Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, it has been a great stretch of events. Let’s take a quick recap.

Owning Your Piece of Texas and Ranchers Leasing Workshop

Last Wednesday and Thursday, we hosted our 2025 Owning Your Piece of Texas program and Ranchers Leasing Workshop in Bryan, TX. We had a fantastic turnout and truly enjoyed getting to visit with Texas landowners, discuss their legal questions, and share practical resources they can use back home.

A huge thank you goes out to our generous sponsors who made these events possible.

Owning Your Piece of Texas Sponsors:
Capital Farm Credit, Hall and Hall, Bennett Trust, Texas Corn Producers, Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, and Texas Forestry.

Ranchers Leasing Workshop Sponsors:
Capital Farm Credit, Bennett Trust, Hall and Hall, and Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

Even though these were our only in-person offerings of these programs for 2025, we have online options available year-round for anyone who could not attend.

AALA Conference in Scottsdale

After wrapping up our Texas programs, we traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona for the American Agricultural Law Association Conference. It was a great opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues, hear from national experts, and learn about the latest developments in agricultural law. We are excited to bring that information back to Texas and continue helping our landowners stay informed.

I am also honored to be taking over as President Elect today and look forward to planning the 2026 AALA Conference in Dallas, TX.
