Hello from a very chilly 7 degree day in the Texas Panhandle! Today, we are going to share a couple of articles I have written and interviews I have done lately.

Basically Famous Podcast
Many of you know Tyler Schuster, the host of the Basically Famous podcast. She asked me to be a guest on her show to chat about my life and career, some lessons I have learned along the way, mentorship, and more. You can listen to our conversation here.
Ag industry sees legal changes in 2025
It is always fun to co-author something with my friend and colleague, Shannon Ferrell. Every year, we work together on an article for the Southwest Farm Press Outlook Series. This article is an overview of some of the big legal issues we are watching in 2025. (Do note, several rulings have taken place related to the Corporate Transparency Act since this article, but for now, the reporting requirements still remain on hold.) You can read our article here.
Should farmers file? The ongoing legal fight over the Corporate Transparency Act
Speaking of the Corporate Transparency Act, I recently did an interview with Dan Looker from Successful Farming on this topic. There have been a lot of moving parts, leading to confusion and frustration, but Don worked hard to help get everyone up to date on where things stand so they can make the best decision for their operation. You Can’t Do It All
I love the opportunity to write a bi-monthly column for DTN Progressive Farmer’s Our Rural Roots. In February, my article focused on addressing the question “I don’t know how you do it all.” Spoiler alert: I don’t. To read more, click here.
New Mexico farm girl shares love of ag with love of law
I was honored when Colleen Schreiber with Livestock Weekly reached out and asked to do a profile on me for the paper. I have read Livestock Weekly since I was a kid, so it was exciting to share my story with other readers. The article is available only for subscribers but may be found here.
Ag Law in the Field Podcast
Don’t forget, I also host my own podcast! You can listen to Ag Law in the Field on your favorite podcast app or on our website. We were recently a finalist for the Agricultural Podcast of the Year and have had great guests and content already in 2025 including discussions about ag law lessons from the Yellowstone tv series finale, an update on dicamba legal issues, and a chat about pore space and why this is a huge issue for Texas landowners.
