Principles B4 Practices Online Course

A free, self-paced course from the Texas Grazing Land Coalition that equips landowners, ranchers, and rangeland stewards with practical knowledge in soil health, rangeland assessment, and grazing management practices. Available in English and Spanish.

 

Prescribed Burn School Online Course

Learn the principles of prescribed fire through this comprehensive online course. Topics include fire behavior, equipment and safety, ecological effects, smoke management, and planning a prescribed burn. Successful completion qualifies participants to schedule their official exam and field component toward becoming a Certified and Insured Prescribed Burn Manager (CIPBM) with TDA (experience requirements apply).

 

 

Continuing Fire Training Online Course

This advanced course is designed for TDA Certified and Insured Prescribed Burn Managers. Participants will review current regulations, brush pile burning procedures, and tools for smoke management, while also learning to apply the Texas A&M Forest Service Smoke Management Plan. The training emphasizes safety, ecological benefits, and compliance with TCEQ burning regulations.

 

 

Drought Proofing the Ranch Online Course

This online course helps ranchers and land managers prepare for and respond to drought conditions with practical, research-based strategies. Learn about insurance options for forage and livestock, marketing and feeding plans, soil health and plant diversification, wildfire preparation, and record keeping as a tool for drought resilience.

 

 

Brush Busters Online Course

This course provides Texas Department of Agriculture Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licensed pesticide applicators. Participants will earn credits in General Pesticide Factors, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and Laws and Regulations while gaining practical knowledge for effective and responsible brush control.
