9:30-11am — Fashion Review: clothing construction, clothing buying, garments modeled and contestants interviewed
10am-12pm — Fashion Design Storyboard Contests (Set up and judged – no interviews)
1-3:30pm — Duds-to-Dazzle Contest
Contests descriptions
• Fashion Clothing Buying: a contest that teaches consumer skills when purchasing fashion, looking at not only the best buy for the money, but the best quality.
• Fashion Design/Storyboard: Youth learn how to present a fashion design and gain skills in concept of design, style, and fabric selection. It’s all about drawing out design inspirations!
• Duds To Dazzle : Youth work in teams to ReFashion a clothing item into something new and useful to wear or not to wear. It’s all about creativity!
