Scholarships


Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation offers scholarships in 4 different categories based on 4-H experience, financial need and academic record.

GraduatePiggyBankScholarship Types


  1. Baccalaureate Scholarship: for students pursuing a 4-year degree
  2. Technical Certification: for students pursuing an approved vocational program 
  3. Courageous Heart: for students who participated in 4-H and attended school through hardship
  4. Collegiate Scholarships: for former 4-Hers who are now in college

January 25, 2016 Applications due to Harris County Extension Office
February 5, 2016 Applications move on to District 9 review*
February 19, 2016 Applications move on to State 4-H review*
April 12, 2016  Interview selection notification
April 29 – May 1, 2016 Interviews in Austin, TX
June 7-9, 2016 Awards Assemblies/Banquets in College Station, TX

*Please note, incomplete or incorrect applications will NOT be considered. Once applications are submitted to the County Extension, they move on to District and State levels for consideration – applicants DO NOT submit directly to these entities.
