9:30-11am — Fashion Review: clothing construction, clothing buying, garments modeled and contestants interviewed

10am-12pm — Fashion Design Storyboard Contests (Set up and judged – no interviews)

1-3:30pm — Duds-to-Dazzle Contest

Girls_TShirts_4HCEO • Fashion Clothing Buying: a contest that teaches consumer skills when purchasing fashion, looking at not only the best buy for the money, but the best quality.

• Fashion Design/Storyboard: Youth learn how to present a fashion design and gain skills in concept of design, style, and fabric selection. It’s all about drawing out design inspirations!

• Duds To Dazzle : Youth work in teams to ReFashion a clothing item into something new and useful to wear or not to wear. It’s all about creativity!

Thanks to the generous donation made by the Harris County Master Gardeners, we have a wide assortment of fabrics for participants to use for their projects! We have planned a variety of service projects to put these donations to good use, including: Dresses for Girls Around the World, Cheer Up Pillow Cases for Texas Children’s Hospital, book bags for school kids, and more.

Remember, there is no fee if you are a member of 4-H! Non- 4-H members can attend for a fee of $25.00 per event.

Duds To Dazzle Workshop

Duds To Dazzle : Youth work in teams to ReFashion a clothing item into something new and useful to wear or not to wear. It’s all about creativity!

Houston 4-H CEO Tradeshow

Houston 4-H CEO Trade Show and Mino Tank will be an opportunity for youth to exhibit information about their business and compete in interviews for prizes.

Trade Show: open to youth ages 9-18 years of age, competing in Junior, Intermediate and Senior age divisions. Individuals or teams of 2 can enter as an:

1) “Established Business” – for youth who are already operating the proposed business or
2)”Prototype Business” – for those businesses that are in the planning stages and NOT operating at the time of the contest
