Thanks to the generous donation made by the Harris County Master Gardeners, we have a wide assortment of fabrics for participants to use for their projects! We have planned a variety of service projects to put these donations to good use, including: Dresses for Girls Around the World, Cheer Up Pillow Cases for Texas Children’s Hospital, book bags for school kids, and more. This engaging, hands-on cooperative learning event uses STEAM* up gardening and nutrition lessons to demonstrate how health/nutrition and physical activity can strengthen the health and wellness of school-age youth and communities. The Theme this year is 4-H Ribbons, Awards and Recognition- everyone should have a few of those items to photograph! Participants in the county contest can enter one photo per category (total 15). Do not enter more than one photo per category. Complete an entry form and return it to Sheryl Nolen at snolen@ag.tamu.edu by March 1st. District 9 Photography Contest Photo contest judging will be completed by March 11th and photos with comments will be returned to participants by March 15th, in time to make selections for District Contest. Remember, District Contest is limited to 4 photographs per contestant. District 9 Photography Contest entries should be submitted on 4-H Connect by March 27- $5.00 per photo.
