Workgroup Meetings and Events
The Highland Bayou workgroup was initiated in 2015 to establish a broad-based collaborative strategy for the development and preparation of this WPP. The group consists of stakeholders from a range of government, agency, and business entities, together with private citizens. Specific tasks performed by the group include: identification of areas with the greatest concerns and making recommendations on management measures to improve water quality. Workgroup meetings are held on a reoccurring basis to support participation of stakeholders (including the general public and other interested parties), enhance public understanding of the project, and encourage continued participation in selecting, designing, and implementing management measures. While individual action is essential, coordination and cooperation are critical to meet the challenges of nonpoint source (NPS) management.
All are welcome to attend meetings of the Highland Bayou workgroup. Please visit our contact page to sign up for updates.
