This is a reminder of the upcoming final session of the Urban Wildlife Series which will be held on Tuesday, August 14th. We will begin with breakfast from 8:00-9:00 a.m., followed by a tour of the Medina River Natural Area. The Medina River Natural Area is located at 15890 Highway 16 South, San Antonio, Texas 78264. We will gather at the pavilion for breakfast tacos and a short introductory session. Next, we will be touring the area, doing some birding and identifying some of the local flora and fauna.
If you have binoculars, please be sure to bring them as well as water shoes/waders (if you want to get in the river for the demonstrations). Please wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing as we will be out in the elements. It might also be a good idea to pack your favorite insect repellent.
Please reference the following guides PRIOR to our field day; they are great resources for aquatic and riparian plants in our region. We WILL NOT be able to provide you hard copies of these guides.
