The Highland Bayou Watershed Protection Plan project is a multi-year effort to work with cities, businesses, and residents to identify steps for improving the quality and safety of the bayous. We all live in a Watershed. Please join us to share your concerns and vision for our bayous. Feedback from you and your community will help shape the plan.
Highland Bayou WPP Workshop
The Highland Bayou WPP workshop will be held December 14th, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Galveston County Extension Office in Carbide Park. The meeting is open to all stakeholders and the general public, and this is an opportunity to review the final plan and its recommendations. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
The Highland Bayou Watershed Protection Plan includes input and project ideas from dozens of stakeholders within the surrounding communities. An approved Watershed Protection Plan enables communities to apply to certain funding opportunities for cleaning up Highland Bayou and its waterways.
