Regarding desert termites…
- Disking or knocking down tubes does not work to destroy the termites.
- Lambda cyhalothrin is the only product that we have right now that works exceptionally well to kill termites and is available to landowners if they do not have a license.

- Use a high rate of product and high-water volumes to ensure good coverage and high mortality.
- Spray product over the top of active termites. Just go outside and wait until you see that the termites are moving around. Now, if they are not active and you want to get them moving you can use a tractor implement like a disk to knock the tubes down and break up the ground area. Once you see them moving around and building again you can go spray Lambda cy. But, this is not necessary if you can spray when they are active during the early/late day, just look for them moving around.
