We hope you will join us for our Annual Entomophagy (Bug Eating) Event. This year we are partnering with the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and several chefs to provide a family fun, bug eating lunch on October 20th. Family events are free with regular admission, but if you want to partake in the insect gourmet, cost is $25/adult and $10/child. We may run out of tastings, so please consider registering early instead of at the door at sabot.org
This year, expect tons of fun for the kids including face painting, painting with cochineal scales and other insects, craft activities and games. Food will be a gourmet 4 course tasting (held at 10:30 and 12) and demonstrated by various chefs from around San Antonio. We are also providing an educational presentation on entomophagy from Little Herds founder, Robert Nathan Allen and a presentation on pollinator gardening by San Antonio’s very own horticulturist, David Rodriguez.
