LEGO Robotics Team Interest

Sent

Dear Tarrant County 4-H Members and Families,

I am pleased to announce that Blackstar 4-H Robotics wrapped up their FIRST Tech season and is already preparing for season two this fall.  They want to share their experiences with the county and draw new members to join the team.

The members of the team are planning a competition for the clubs of Tarrant County.  The competition will be LEGO Mindstorm based and will take place sometime during the summer.  It will be open to members of all ages and there is plenty of time to form a team and prepare (teams consist of 2-6 individuals).  If you are interested competing in a GEAR robotics competition, please complete this interest form by May 1st.

The Extension office has several LEGO Mindstorm kits that can be borrowed.  After gauging the interest of the clubs and members, the Blackstar team will have an informational session to help teams get started.  If you are new to robotics, this is a great way to get kids interested in your club and eventually have them join the Blackstar team.
