County Validation

Sent

Dear 4-H Members and Families,

I have received confirmation that the Tarrant County Junior Livestock Show validations will take place on Saturday, December 8th.  They will take place in Saginaw from 8-11 a.m. and then at Crowley from 1-3 p.m.

Please remember these very important points:

  • All animals must be validated.  This includes fancy chickens and breeding rabbits.
  • If your animal is already validated at the state level, it does not need to be validated at the county level.
  • Validation must be performed each year for every animal.
  • Please be aware of the ownership requirements for the animal that you will be showing.  A link to the latest rulebook can be found on the TCJLS site below.
  • Plants for the Horticulture Division must also be validated on this day as well.
  • All youth who are showing a livestock project will be required to have a Quality Counts number at the time their club manager registers them for the show.

It is very important that all 4-H members, parents, and managers be aware of this one day to validate at the county level.  This will be the only opportunity to validate any remaining animals that will be shown at TCJLS.  If you have any questions, please visit the TCJLS website for more information or contact the Extension office.
