Dear 4-H Members and Families,
Some clarification on the upcoming photography contest.
- How to enter:
- Use this form to register for the county photography contest.
- All entries must be in by Monday, February 5th at 5 p.m.
- All photos must be entered digitally. They can be entered through the form above or can be emailed in to Ana at ana.murillo@ag.tamu.edu.
- Photos must be in a 5:4 ratio and ready for 8”x10” printing.
- Photos must be a minimum of 300 dpi resolution.
- Photos must be no larger than 5 MB.
- Photos must be titled with the following format “LastName_FirstName_Category”. For example “DeCardenas_Kent_Elements of Design”. Please change the photos name before uploading to the Google form or to your email.
- Cost:
- We are charging $2 for each of the first 5 entries, and $1 for each entry after that.
- Payments must be made in cash or check by mailing it to the office or coming in person if you would like a receipt.
- Several members may pay together on one check. Just be sure to note on the check or with an attached note who is being paid for.
- Payments must be paid by Monday, February 5th at 5 p.m.
- Clover kids will not be charged for participating but are limited to 3 entries.
- Categories:
- We will use the categories and definitions from the 17-18 4-H Photo Rules.
- Each member may enter only one photo per category.
- Clover kids:
- We are allowing Clover Kids to participate but they are limited to 3 entries.
- They will be judged in their own category.
- State Qualifier:
- Senior members can guarantee their participation at the state photography contest by participating at the county level and winning their category.
- Rules-We will follow the 17-18 Texas 4-H Photo Rules except for:
- Participation Grades
- County Entries
- Entry Fee rate (we will use our own rate above)
- Entry Method
- Event Name
- Entry Period
- Awards and Recognition
- Roundup Display and Participation
Remember there will be a reception for all 4-H members and the public at Fort Worth Camera’s Montgomery Street location at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 23rd. Select photos will be displayed in the gallery while on entries will be presented in a slideshow presentation. Judges will be present to provide feedback to the youth.
