The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Office in Kendall County will present its Fall Agriculture Program from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM on September 29, 2022 at the Kendall County Youth Ag and Equestrian Center – 648 FM 289, Comfort Tx .
Registration will be from 7:15 AM to 7:30 AM. The cost is $20 per person with lunch provided.
Attendees are encouraged to pre-register by calling the AgriLife Extension office in Kendall County at 830-331- 8242 or by visiting the office at 118 Saunders St, Boerne. Please RSVP to program by September 26, 2022.
Five (5) Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units – two (2) general, one (1) integrate, One (1) Laws and Regulations and One (1) Drift Minimization will be provided. TDA Continuing education unit certificates will be distributed at the end of the program.
Presenters and Presentation overview are:
- Megan Clayton with AgriLife Extension Range Specialist from Uvalde, will discuss brush management, brush control, sprayer calibration and drift management.
- Jason McDaniel with Texas Department of Agricultural will review the laws and regulations
- Reed Redden with AgriLife Extension Associates Professor and Extension Sheep and Goat Specialist from San Angelo, Tx, will talk on External Parasites of small Ruminants
- Erin Davis from Texas A&M Forest Service will be covering oak wilt
- Dr. Jacob Dykes will give us a wildfire update.
- In addition we will have Lyle Zoeller discuss drought insurance and Ricky Neffendorf will give us an update from the Farm Service Agency.
