The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices of Atascosa, Bexar, Frio, Medina and Wilson counties will be hosting a Cattle Reproduction Management program May 8-9 at Tom Brothers Ranch in Campbellton. The programs each day will begin at 9:00 am and conclude by 2:00 pm. Lunch will be included with the registration fee.
Wednesday, May 8th will focus on the anatomy of a cow’s reproductive tract, pregnancy testing and rectal palpation. Participants will be expected to bring 3-5 cows for “hands on” exercise. See the flyer below.
Thursday, May 9th will be more advanced focusing on:
- Reproduction Tract Scoring
- Estrus Synchronization
- Artificial Insemination
- Introduction to Embryo Transfer
