If you missed out on the first Beef 706 class, there is still time to join in! The program is designed to help producers maximize profits and have a better understanding of what influences feeder cattle value. Our next session will be held Saturday, October 20th 9:00 am at Texana Feedyard in Floresville. The program will include a tour of the feedyard and evaluation of the Beef 706 steers. Lunch will also be served. See the agenda below for more information and check out the videos of the steers at http://brush706.blogspot.com
The final program will be held October 29-30 in College Station. The cattle will be harvested, graded and fabricated into closely trimmed retail cuts (boxed beef). Mark these dates on your calendar! If you are planning to attend either the 20th or 29-30th, please call the Extension Office at 210-631-0400 and let me know.
