Hot off the press!!!!
I am pleased to announce that the Tarrant County Validation Committee have secured October dates for Validation. However; due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, the procedure for the Fall Validation will be the same as the June Validation. Please read this email carefully and make note of the procedures in order to help protect everyone involved with the process. These instructions as well as the guidelines will be strictly adhered too.
Pay attention to the dates because if you miss the State Validation dates, you will not be eligible to show in any of the Spring Major shows and will be limited to the TCJLS show.
Be sure that you bring all your validation paperwork with you and completed with all signatures needed!!!! Information on Validation packets will be coming at a later time!
Sheep/Goat/Heifer Validation dates and time:
Saturday, October 17 9am – noon
Saturday, October 24 9am – noon

***!!!! Highly Important information below – pay attention to the following !!!***
***You are to stay in your vehicle until it is your turn to validate the animals in your trailer. Have paperwork ready to be checked while in line***
FFA members:
For validation Ag Teachers or parents will be responsible for the transportation and validation process for the chapter. NO STUDENTS are allowed to attend validation in order to keep the number of people to a minimum for exposure purposes. For this reason, there will be a limit of 2 Ag teachers/parents from each school (or at least per truck) that will be allowed to come to the validation location with all the animals. These Ag teachers will also be responsible for assisting the validation committee with the validation process for their chapter. Ag teachers will be responsible for collecting all the validation paperwork from their students and bringing it to the validation, preferably completed with all signatures. If any of the paperwork is incomplete, Ag teachers will have until October 28 at 5 pm to have it completed and brought to the Extension Office. If paperwork is not at the Extension Office by this time, validation paperwork will NOT be completed and sent to the State office. It must be hand delivered!! As always, the Ag teachers are responsible for the uploads of their student’s projects.
4-H Members:
For validation parents (family representative or club representative) will be responsible for the transportation and validation process for their children/exhibitor. NO 4H EXHIBITORS are allowed to attend validation in order to keep the number of people to a minimum for exposure purposes. For this reason, there will be a limit of 2 adults allowed to come to the validation location with all the animals. The parents or the representative will be responsible for helping with the validation process for the animals in their trailer. They will also be responsible for collecting all the validation paperwork from the exhibitors they are hauling and bringing it to the validation. The paperwork needs to be completed with all signatures. If any of the paperwork is incomplete, parents will have until October 28 at 5 pm to have it completed and brought to the Extension Office. If the paperwork is not at the Extension Office by this time, validation paperwork will NOT be completed and sent to the State Office. It must be hand delivered!!!
Swine Validation:
Swine Validation will be the same as last year. If you have 10 or more hogs the Committee will come to you. If you have 9 or less you will need to haul into the haul-in validation sight. The haul-in location is below in red on November 16. Pay Attention to the haul in date!!! There is only one haul-in location this year!!! The following are the Validation dates that have been set and for who at this time.
November 16:
- Brewer FFA Barn – Haul in location 5-7pm (Only haul-in location)
