  1. WFSC 641 : Sustainable Military Land Management-APRROVED pending changes
  2. Need to eliminate “plus/minus” wording under Participation and Grading; Need to clarify distance course, or not. Syllabus differs from CARS course entry information.
  3. WFSC 614 : Down River: Biology of Gulf Coastal Fishes-TABLED
  4. Stacked-needs “Additional Requirements of graduate students” in syllabus Grading Policies; Needs description of times/hours of activity in syllabus Calendar.
  5. WFSC 639: Wildlife Ecotoxicology-APPROVED

  3. Graduate committee students were all undergraduate; GPC recommends a Special Appointment nomination instead.

  6. Need information on who nominee reports to in the department—is he independent?
  7. FYI-Eligibilities and Qualifications
  8. For review. A reminder that a “Member” only nominee does not have to be a primary author of a refereed publication. This is now posted on the GPC website main page.

 

VII. GRADUATE OPERATION COMMITTEE ITEMS N/A

VIII. MISCELLANEOUS

  1. Fellowship recipients and in-state tuition waiver
  2. Pat Klein, HORT-fiscal error, wrong account. Other departments need to be aware to enter correct account numbers for fellowship tuition.
  3. GPC Standard Operating Procedures
  4. Document was emailed to GPC for edits. Deadline to return to college is March 2.
  5. Update in fellowships and assistantships 
  6. International GPR’s, per Admissions: If an applicant has no graduate work or less than 30 graded credits at the graduate level (with no degree award), then we perform our GPA calculation using the last 2 years (roughly 60 credits) of the undergraduate degree.
