4-H Project Prom Campaign: Dress with Confidence

Hello 4-H Families, Club Managers, and Leaders,

We are excited to officially kick off the 4-H Project Prom Campaign: Dress with Confidence, a countywide community service initiative supporting students in our community who may need assistance securing prom attire.

We are inviting all 4-H clubs to participate by donating gently used or new prom dresses. Through this campaign, 4-H members have the opportunity to serve their community while supporting an important milestone in the lives of fellow youth.

Why This Campaign Matters:

Prom is a memorable experience for many students, and access to formal attire should not be a barrier. This campaign helps ensure students can attend prom feeling confident and supported, while reinforcing the values of service, leadership, and generosity that define 4-H.

4-H Project Alignment:

The Project Prom Campaign supports:

  • Community service and civic engagement
  • The 4-H Clothing & Textiles Project
  • Sustainability and clothing stewardship
  • Youth leadership and teamwork

How Your Club Can Participate

  • Collect gently used or new prom dresses (all sizes and styles welcome)
  • Host a club or community dress drive
  • Encourage members to promote the campaign at school or within their community
  • Count participation toward community service hours and 4-H record books

Thank you for helping us make a positive impact and for continuing to live the 4-H motto, “To Make the Best Better.”

Together, we can help ensure every student has the opportunity to shine on prom night.
