Fort Bend 4-H Open House (Fulshear)

Date: Monday, August 4th, 2025

Musical Memories of Katy 4-H Club will host a “silent disco” at the Fulshear Library on August 4th highlighting their memory disco community service projects.

 

Fort Bend 4-H Open House (Sienna)

Date: Tuesday, August 12th, 2025

Location: Sienna Branch Library (8411 Sienna Springs Boulevard, Missouri CityTX 77459)

Time: 4:30-6:30pm

MyPI Texas will host a disaster preparedness table at the Sienna Branch library on August 12th with CPR demos and the first 50 kids will receive a string backpack with goodies to make their own emergency supply kit.

 

Fort Bend 4-H (Rosenberg)

Youth Fashion Week Returns This Summer to Empower, Inspire, and Dazzle!

Youth in the Fort Bend County and surrounding areas are invited to ignite their passion for fashion at this year’s Youth Fashion Week Experience, a vibrant 3-day immersive experience designed to spark creativity, teach practical skills in fashion and beauty, and introduce participants to the dynamic world of design, styling, and entrepreneurship.

Program Highlights Include:

  • Day 1: Design, Create, and Learn: Participants will dive into workshops on sewing, fashion illustration, personal image, styling, and entrepreneurship. Activities include designing custom accessories, learning wholesale strategies, and competing in the upcycling-inspired Duds to Dazzle Challenge.
  • Day 2: Industry Exposure and Exploration: A full-day field trip offers insider tours, where youth will test their budgeting and styling skills. They’ll also visit local boutiques to explore merchandising and market trends.
  • Day 3: Fashion Show Day: The program culminates in a live runway event where students model their unique outfits—including their hand-sewn accessories—before an audience of friends, family, and community supporters. The event ends with awards and photos to celebrate their hard work.

Join us for the 2025 FBC 4-H Summer Day Camp, Wednesday, July 9th, 2025. Bring your own lunch! Jones Creek Park Ranch, 7714 Fm 359 Rd, Richmond, TX 77406. 8:30am-3pm. Free. Open to rising 3rd-12th graders. Limited spots, register now! Must pre-register to attend. 4-H Project Activities include: Rocketry, Fishing, Community Service, Entomology (Insects), and Health and Nutrition. 2024-2025 FBC 4-H Record Books Due

Fort Bend County 4-H Record Books are due June 20th, 2025 at 5PM

All Record Books are due in-person to the Fort Bend County Extension Office.

Submit Record Books for the 2024-2025 year! Record Books are a great way to get your youth in the habit of writing about what they do, how they do it, and why they do it. Submitting a Record Book makes Fort Bend County 4-H youth eligible a project pin in their desired category, serves as an application for the Fort Bend County 4-H Star Awards, and work as a great template for college and scholarship applications.

The Fort Bend EEA is pleased to announce they will be offering a District 9 4-H Leadership Lab Mini Grant for a value of up to $150.00.

This grant is designed to help offset the registration cost of the lab for those that may be interested in attending.

The District 9 4-H Leadership Lab will be held on June 10th-12th, 2025.

The application is due to the County Extension Office FCH Department on or before Monday, April 14, 2025, by 5:00p.m.

Emailed applications will not be accepted. Mini Grant to be paid upon return from the Leadership Lab.

County Council and Ambassadors

County Council members are representatives of their 4-H clubs and all Fort Bend county 4-H youth in the 3rd to 12th grade are invited to attend. County Council will resume in September 2025.

The goal of the Fort Bend County 4-H Ambassador program is to create a team of youth leaders that represent 4-H at county, local, and state level events. County 4-H Ambassadors will also have a voice in the planning and facilitation of 4-H events since they will be representing the county 4-H program.

Fort Bend County 4-H Ambassadors are Fort Bend County teens interested in community leadership and promoting 4-H. Ambassadors choose their own schedule of events each year. Applications for the 2025-26 team will open in August 2025.
