Teen Financial Literacy Series
Learning to take care of personal finances can be overwhelming, so let the library provide guidance and advice to help understand how to manage money. Over the next several months, Janelle Johnson — from the Fort Bend County Extension Program — will cover: creating and maintaining a budget, credit management, introduction to credit cards, and different types of insurance. Registration is required; register online, in person, or by calling the appropriate library.
This class will delve more deeply into the use of credit cards. Students will learn how they work and how to avoid debt. They will also receive tips for using credit cards smartly and responsibly. Students will also get an overview of insurance types—including health, auto, and renters’—and why they are an important part of financial planning.
