Take Care of Texas and Waste Management of Texas, Inc. invite students to submit a 30-second video public service announcement that portrays positive ways Texans can help keep our air and water clean, conserve water and energy, or reduce waste. Three 9th-12th grade students with the best videos will be awarded scholarship funds; 1st place – $2,500, 2nd place – $1,500, and 3rd place – $500. Three 6th-8th grade students with the best videos will be awarded GroPros cameras with accessories.
The contest closes Dec. 16, 2016. The videos will then go through three rounds of judging, including a public voting period from Jan. 11 – 25, 2017. More contest details are available here.
