Youth Livestock Symposium

November 10, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

http://agrilife.org/fannin4h/4-h-projects/swine/livestock-exhibitor-vfd/

As of January 1, 2017 purchasing feed containing antibiotics or purchasing antibiotics for administration will require livestock exhibitors to have a working relationship with their veterinarian (VCPR). This will require the livestock exhibitor to have a veterinarian’s oversight and prescription of the antibiotic. Join us for these VFD updates, a veterinarian perspective and the importance of Quality Counts to better assist our youth and their families. This event is open to all 4-H and FFA members and their families. Please call the Victoria County Extension Office to RSVP 361-575-4581 by NOVEMBER 1st. Participation will be limited to the first 150 4-H and FFA youth and their families due to capacity of facilities.
Guest Speakers:

  • Dr. Joe Mask—Youth Veterinarian Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension
  • Mrs. Dottie Goebel—Texas Youth Livestock and Agriculture Extension Associate
  • Dr. John M. Davidson, DVM— Sr. Professional Services Veterinarian Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica
