District 4 Standing Rules 4-H Council

District Officer Candidates must complete two separate registrations on 4-H Connect:

  1. Regular camp registration. $125
  2. Officer candidate application/training registration. $50.00 (meals and lodging for additional stay)

No late officer applications will be accepted.  Officer applications are due by midnight, June 24 on 4-H Connect.  Candidates will be contacted to schedule a phone or web interview during the week of June 27-July 1.   This interview is part of the election process, so candidates need to be prepared.

10.  Newly Elected Officers. Elected district officers will be installed at the conclusion of the camp on July 7 at approximately 10 a.m.   These officers will be required to stay an additional night (Thursday) for officer training and planning.  These individuals will incur an additional fee to cover the costs ($50) for lodging and meals.   Elected officers will need to plan accordingly for an additional day’s worth of clothing and for transportation on Friday, July 8.  Once elections have completed, we will accept the elected officer 4-H Connect registrations in order to pay for the extra night.  The registration will not be processed (remain “Pending” at district) until after elections.   Registrations will be deleted for individuals who are not elected.  Thus, only those that get elected will be charged the $50 fee.

For those individuals elected to the Texas 4-H Council, the 2016-2017 Texas 4-H Council Workshop has been scheduled for July 25-28 at the Texas 4-H Conference Center.  This is a mandatory training for individuals elected onto the state council.
