Upcoming 2026 Spring Major Shows:

 

2026 Spring Major Show Entry Appointments 

October Appointments: 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo ONLY 

November Appointments: 2026 Houston, San Angelo, San Antonio, Austin, Texas’ Elite Showcase and Rio Grande Valley Shows ONLY 

 

These Major Show entry nights will enter youth in Livestock Shows, Calf Scramble, and Youth Contests such as Wildlife Challenge, Food Challenge, AgMechanics, etc*)

*See individual shows for a full list of Youth Contests offered

 

Livestock Exhibitors

PLEASE NOTE:

To show cattle/lamb/goat:

  • You must attend Major Show Entry Night/Appointment to complete your entries for your desired Major Shows

AND

  • Have an animal that was validated during the 2025 Summer Validation with FBC State Validation and HAS NOT changed ownership or been auctioned

OR

  • Purchase a validation tag from FBC State Validation ($35 per head for Heifer, Lamb, Goat) before October 13th, 2025 and attend Fall 2025 Validation (Link: Validation Tag Order Form- Fort Bend 4-H)
  • (Steer are ONLY validated in the Summer. We will NOT validate Steer at the upcoming Fall Validation)

 

PLEASE NOTE:

To show Broilers/Turkeys

  • You must attend Major Show Entry Night/Appointment to complete your entries for your desired Major Shows

AND

  • Have purchased broilers/turkeys through the Fort Bend County 4-H office during the respective order periods (the deadline for orders have already passed)

 

PLEASE NOTE

To show Swine

  • You must attend Major Show Entry Night/Appointment to complete your entries for your desired Major Shows

AND

  • Purchase a Swine tag through FBC 4-H by November 1st, 2025 and have your swine validated at the Fall Swine Validation on November 20th, 2025

(Purchase Swine tags in-person at FBC Extension Office, $35 per head)

(Swine validated during the 2025 Summer Validation CANNOT be show at the 2026 Spring Majors)

 

 

2026 FWSSR Major Show Entry Week:

October 13th, 2025-October 21st, 2025

Location: Fort Bend County Extension Office (1402 Band Rd, SUITE 100: Rosenberg, TX 77471)

Shows:

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo (Required)

 

Appointments will be available during normal business hours for the Fort Bend County Extension Office, M-Fri, 8am-5pm exhibitors/contestants to enter the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

October 21st, 2025, will be the October Major Show Entry Night, with appointments open 4-7pm for exhibitors/contestants to enter the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

DEADLINE:

If you plan to show/compete at the Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo (including any Livestock Shows, Calf Scramble, and/or Youth Contests), you are REQUIRED to complete your entries with Fort Bend County 4-H Office no later than October 21st2025. We will not accept entries for Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo after October 21st, 2025.

 

2026 Spring Major Show Entry (Not including FWSSR):

November 3rd-November 19th, 2025

Location: Fort Bend County Extension Office (1402 Band Rd, SUITE 100: Rosenberg, TX 77471)

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (Required)

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo (Required)

Rodeo Austin (Required)

San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo (Required)

Rio Grande Valley Livestock and Rodeo (Required)

Texas’ Elite Showcase (Required)

 

Appointments will be available during normal business hours for the Fort Bend County Extension Office, M-Fri, 8am-5pm exhibitors/contestants to enter the any of Spring Major Shows listed above, except Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo (FWSSR). We will NOT accept entries for FWSSR during these Major Show Entry appointments.

November 19th, 2025, will be November Major Show Entry Night, with appointments open 4-7pm for exhibitors/contestants to enter any of the Spring Major Shows listed above, except Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo (FWSSR). We will NOT accept entries for FWSSR during this Major Show Entry Night.

If you plan to show/compete at the 2026 Spring Major Shows (Houston/Austin/San Antonio/San Angelo/Texas Elite/Rio Grande Valley) (including any Livestock Shows, Calf Scramble, and/or Youth Contests), you are REQUIRED to complete your entries with Fort Bend County 4-H Office no later than November 19th2025. We will not accept entries for 2026 Spring Major Shows (not including FWSSR) after November 19th2025.

If you plan to show at FWSSR AND the other 2026 Spring Majors, you must book appointments for both the FWSSR Entry AND the 2026 Spring Majors Entry. Please pay attention to which appointment you book.

 

 

Needed BEFORE Entry Night

  1. 4-H Membership

All youth must be enrolled in 4-H Online BEFORE their Major Show Entry appointment. We will not accept entries from 4-Hers who are not enrolled and active for the 2025-2026 4-H year.

    2. W9, Indemnity Waivers, Registration Papers (Breeding Projects), and Entry Worksheets  

We will have copies of the forms and worksheets at entry night for you to complete. 

If youth cannot be present for their appointment, please email Rowdy Sandoval (rowdy.sandoval@ag.tamu.edu) to receive the correct Exhibitor Agreement/Indemnity/Substitute W9 (to ensure the forms you print, and sign are the CORRECT forms)

Breeding Shows: Bring original or color copy of registration certificate.

(Contest Participants: Only coaches can complete contest entries. Please have all W9s and Indemnities signed by contestants and their parents PRIOR to the entry night appointment (except for HLSR contestants). 

Houston Exhibitors:

If exhibitor is a minor: Parents DO NOT sign forms before entry night, as Houston forms must be notarized (if youth is a minor). It is strongly encouraged that Parent AND Exhibitor are present. If youth (minor) cannot be present, youth (minor) can sign Houston forms before appointment, but PARENT MUST SIGN DURING THE ENTRY APPOINTMENT IN FRONT OF A NOTARY.

If an exhibitor is 18: Exhibitor MUST sign during their appointment IN FRONT of a notary. A notary will be present at all Houston Entry appointments.

    3. Social Security Number (for youth exhibitors/contestants)

    4. Driver’s Licenses (For Parents) (For Houston Contestants Only)

    5. Pass Quality Counts (Livestock Shows)

All youth competing in Livestock Shows or Calf Scramble must have a valid Quality Counts number.

Quality Counts for all exhibitors must be completed BEFORE entry. 

You are required to take the Quality Counts course if you have never taken it before or if you have moved to a new division (I.e., 5th to 6th grade (Junior Division to Intermediate Division) or 8th to 9th grade (Intermediate Division to Senior Division)

     6.  Payment

You must provide payment via check or cash upon your Major Show Entry appointment, no exceptions (or by card in the Parent Portal).

Linked below are the pricing for show/contest entries, parking passes, and additional gate passes (based off the 2025 entry worksheets and 2025 Exhibitor’s Handbooks, price subject to change). Each Individual Exhibitor/Individual Contestant will also incur a $5 processing fee in addition to their overall Exhibitor/Contestant fees per Major Show (I.e., exhibitor A is registering for Houston, San Antonio, and Austin; total processing fee +$15 ($5 per Major Shows))

Each Contest Team will incur a $5 processing fee per team, per contest, per Major Show (I.e., Team A competing in Livestock Judging for Houston, San Antonio, and Austin; total processing fee +$15 (One team x one contest x 3 Major Shows x $5 processing fee)
