COLLEGE STATION, TX (September 28-30, 2010)—Cohort I of the first AgriLife Advanced Leadership Program met for the group’s first session on September 28–30 in College Station. Included in the event were workshop presentations and networking opportunities. Participants focused on leadership competencies, such as building relationships and interpersonal skills, and developing a professional and personal leadership plan. The first advocacy presentation was given by participants from the Texas Forest Service (TFS), and included a tour of the TFSs Emergency Operations Center. Event sessions were:
