Monte Carlo Simulation Optimal Irrigation Sensitivity Analysis
Dr. Zapata conducts applied research focused on farm management, economic feasibility analysis, economic impact of new invasive pests, and economics of small acreage production. Dr. Zapata research agenda also includes theoretical and empirical efforts to better understand the technology adoption processes of farmers and agribusiness, non-parametric analysis of interval-censored data, and meta-analysis.

SELECTED WORKING PAPERS:

  • Economic impact of non-indigenous species [1] [2]
  • Economic feasibility of second generation biomass feedstock for biofuel production [1]
  • Non-parametric analysis of interval-censored data [1] [2]
  • Meta-analysis techniques for multiple treatments experiments [1][2]
