Dr. John Park is the Roy B. Davis professor of Agricultural Cooperation in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University and extension specialist for the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Dr. Park s a graduate (PhD) of Texas A&M University, class of 1996.

Dr. Park is a nationally acclaimed teacher who has demonstrated a love for teaching and an ability to engage both students and industry leaders in all aspects of his work. His efforts to inspire his audience through real-world applications have been recognized nationally with various teaching excellence awards including one from the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University.

Dr. Park is a national leader in food marketing and agribusiness and has led several professional organizations including national research and extension committees and the Food Distribution Research Society, of which he is a past president. He is a recipient of the Society’s Award for Emerging Leadership and Award for Distinguished Service.

Since 2003, Dr. Park has served as a director of the Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council and acts as a liaison between the Texas cooperative industry and the professional resources of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service and Texas A&M University. His efforts with the Council have been instrumental in the development of an intern program for college students seeking employment in the cooperative industry.

Dr. Park and his wife, Jacqee, have three children and reside in College Station, TX.
