2020 MV Advanced Training to be held in San Antonio

Molly Keck, Extension Program Specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will be hosting this year’s master volunteer advanced entomology training in San Antonio. Training details are still being worked out, but the training will most likely be held in late summer to early fall. Check back to this site for more information.

2018 MVES class to be held in College Station

Registration is now open for the 2018 Master Volunteer Entomology Specialist class.  This year the class will be held in College Station, TX at the Rollins Urban and Structural Entomology Facility on the Texas A&M University campus. 2017 Class a “bug success”

By all accounts, the 12th annual Master Volunteer Entomology Specialist training was a “bug success”. This year’s class was held Sep 18-21 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Center at Dallas and consisted of 28 participants from all over the state.  Dr. Mike Merchant, Extension Urban Entomologist, hosted the class with support from Entomology Assistant Curator, Karen Wright, and Extension entomologists Erfan Vafaie and Robert Puckett. Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Master Volunteer Entomology Specialist class to be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Center at Dallas. I’m sorry to report that the MVES training will not take place this fall. Due to overwhelming commitments among our entomologists, the Austin training will be postponed until 2014.  We apologize for any of you who may have been looking forward to this year’s training and are committed to bringing you an excellent training program in 2014. Master Volunteers do Dallas Earth Day
