2012 Class to be held in College Station

MVES interns get a demonstration of entomology collecting tips during the 2005 class at Lick Creek Park in College Station.

The 2012 Master Volunteer Entomology Specialist class will be held this fall in College Station.  This year’s organizer is Dr. Carlos Bográn, Extension Entomologist based in Bryan, Texas.  Carlos has been involved in the MVES training since the first class and will bring fresh enthusiasm to planning this year’s training.

Each year and each MVES venue is unique.  College Station offers access to unique expertise and resources.  Besides a rich native insect and spider fauna, College Station offers opportunities to visit the Department of Entomology’s museum and research facilities. Expect some great collecting and excellent field trips with this year’s class.

Detailed schedules and registration particulars have not yet been put together.  Keep checking this site for details.  Registration usually opens in early summer.
