Education:

  • In progress – Ph.D., Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, Texas A&M University
  • 2009: B.S., Biomedical Science, Texas A&M University

My interests are in ecotoxicology and conservation.  For my dissertation, I am working on two different projects.  One is a hazard assessment of heavy metals, specifically mercury, to water birds in Lake Chapala, Mexico.  The other is a comprehensive diet study of the endangered Attwater’s Prairie Chicken using stable isotopes 13C and 15N.

Brief summary about myself:

I obtained my bachelor’s from Texas A&M University in Biomedical Science, and after working for a year decided to go back to school for my PhD. When I am not doing research, I enjoy playing tennis and reading.
