Education:
I received my bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M in WFSC: wildlife ecology and conservation in 2012. I am currently pursuing a Master’s with the hope of transferring into the PhD program in the coming year.
Research Interests:
I am interested in birds, conservation plans, ecotoxicology, communal ecology, and evolutionary systematics. My thesis research investigates the effects of cyanobacteria-produced retinoids on colonial water birds in Texan and Chinese eutrophic lakes. I am currently exploring some different research methods with ebird.org.
Brief summary about myself:
I love to go outside, particularly with my dogs, or a pair of binoculars to go bird watching. I am a member of TAMU Society for Advancement of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) and an avid runner, though I also like to go to the rec to play some indoor soccer, racquetball, or basketball.
