County Extension Agents,
I am pleased to announce the Career Ladder process for County Extension Agents in both Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Prairie View A&M University Cooperative Extension. The first notable date is January 1, which is when the Intent to Apply for Promotion form is due to your District Extension administrator or CEP Program Leader.

The promotion packets will be reviewed and a recommendation for or against promotion will be made by the Regional Leadership Team or the CEP Program Leader. The final recommendation will be made by Extension Administration or Cooperative Extension Administration. Peer review will only be engaged when there is a formal appeal filed by an agent according to the guidelines attached.
Professional Experience Required on or before September 10.
Level I to II Minimum of 5 years of professional experience and 3 years as a Level I
Level II to III Minimum of 8 years of professional experience and 3 years as a Level II
with a Master’s Degree
OR
Level II to III Minimum of 10 years of professional experience and 5 years as a
Level II without a Master’s Degree.
Level III to IV Minimum of 15 years of professional experience and 3 years as a Level III with a Master’s Degree.

Annual Promotional Increments:
Level I to II $3,600 Level II to III $4,800 Level III to IV $6,000
