Additional time can be given if agents or specialists are waiting on harvest data or other information. Reports need to be reviewed by the appropriate specialist(s) prior to submitting reports.
Agents must use the required format and all reports should be submitted on the appropriate template. The templates are available on the West Region ANR Program website (https://agrilife.org/agwest/) under the “Result Demonstration Templates” tab. Each major program area has a template with a picture in the heading. Agents may use an appropriate photo they’ve taken if they wish. There’s also a general template for the result demonstrations projects which do not have template available.
Result demonstrations and applied research projects are effective teaching tools and should be used to address the agricultural issues and program needs in each county. Agents can increase the effectiveness and rate of adoption of new practices by using result demonstrations as a teaching method. Each agent should provide leadership to a minimum of two result demonstration/applied research projects each year.
