According to census data, over 400 Texas municipalities directly provide park and recreation services to members of their local communities. Our statewide inventory of these local land managers, their holdings, leadership roles, land uses, and educational assists in an invaluable resource to better understanding the current make-up of municipally owned and operated open spaces.

2016 Inventory Update
Our goal is to update the 2012 data in Winter 2016. Every community who completes the inventory will receive free access to our Spring 2017 Webinar Series on Evidence Based Planning.
Communities with completed inventories submitted online by December 15, 2016 will also be entered into a drawing to receive the following resource of their choice:
- one 6 hour day of educational programming in 2017 (2 entries will be chosen randomly), or
- registration for up to three (3) employees to participate in any of our 2017 educational workshops (10 entries will be randomly chosen).
