The Borlaug Institute Study Abroad Photo Contest opened in the AgriLife Center Nov. 14-18, 2011. Created to encourage students to participate in study abroad programs, the photo contest took place during International Education Week. Faculty, students and staff were invited to place their votes for the best photos in several categories. The Benjamin Knox Texas Landscapes 2011 Exhibit opened in the AgriLife Center Oct. 18 – Nov. 5, 2011. Celebrating the 175th year of Texas Independence, the oil paintings and drawings represented landscapes and homesteads throughout the region and the Texas Independence Trail, known as the Cradle of Texas Liberty.
