These experiences can be completed in project group meetings or individual study. You do not have to sew to complete the project. 4-H\u2019ers can select experiences to fit their needs, such as buying ready-to-wear, wardrobe planning, clothing construction, wardrobe care, modeling, grooming, fibers and much more. They can also choose to sew in addition to other experiences. The experiences prepare 4-H\u2019ers for project activities.\u00a0<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<h4>Fashion Show<\/h4>\n<p>The Fashion Show is designed for 4-H members to showcase their skills in buying and construction. You will create a clothing or fashion item, turn in paperwork explaining your item, complete an interview with a panel of judges, and last but not least, model the outfit on the runway.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Fashion Storyboard<\/h4>\n<p>The 4-H Fashion Storyboard is an industry-inspired method of displaying original designs. The storyboard \u201ctells the story\u201d of the designer\u2019s idea. The storyboard includes original illustrations, flats, and more to promote the design<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Duds to Dazzle<\/h4>\n<p>During Duds to Dazzle, teams of 3 to 5 receive textiles and each team has 60 minutes to create a new product using item from the supply closet. Each team provides their own supply kit (Supply kit list found in Duds to Dazzle guide). LINK The teams then present their item to a team of judges. You may also be tested on what you have learned about how the clothing &amp; textile industry impacts the environment, specifically the waste stream.<\/p>\n<h4>Kids in the Sewing Room<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>Kids in the Sewing Room will be held June 24-26, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Deadline to register is May 19th and registration is limited to the first 25 RSVP participants.
