DESCRIPTION:Good afternoon 4-H Families! \n  \nThe 2019 4-H Outdoor Challenge will be held June 26-28\, 2019 at the Texas 4-H Center in Lake Brownwood. Registration is on 4-H CONNECT from April 15 – May 19\, 2019. Participation is limited to the first 50 full teams that register. Registration will be $50/participant. \n  \nThe 4-H Outdoor Challenge is a contest consisting of 10 activities set up for teams of two to compete within their age division. The activities could cover basic skills and knowledge in outdoor safety\, outdoor skills\, swimming\, paddling\, shooting\, wildlife and habitat\, biologist skills\, fishing\, first aid\, outdoor gear consumer education\, off road bicycling\, and climbing. SUMMARY:Texas 4-H Roundup
DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS TEXAS 4-H ROUNDUP?\nFor youth throughout the State of Texas\, Texas 4-H Roundup is the culmination of a 4-H member’s year\nof hard work and dedication. It is designed to supplement the county 4-H program and project work.\nEach year contests are held throughout the counties\, the twelve Texas A&M AgriLife Extension districts\,\nand at the state level. Texas 4-H Roundup has been held in College Station\, Texas since its inception\n(except for 2012)\, and over 4\,000 youth and adults attend annually. Roundup consists of approximately\n50 competitive events\, and most of these contests require each individual or team to qualify at the\ncounty and district level. Texas 4-H Roundup also offers invitational (non-qualifying) contests that allow\nintermediate and senior 4-H members to participate.\n4-H members and adults looking for non-competitive opportunities can participate in one of the many\neducational workshops offered throughout the event. Roundup is scheduled to officially begin Monday\, June\n10\, 2019 and end Thursday\, June 13\, 2019.

DESCRIPTION:Good morning 4-H Families! \n  \nRegistration information for the 2019 Texas 4-H Day at the Capitol is attached.  I understand that for the past several 4-H Day at the Capitol registration periods\, the quota filled very quickly.  Registration will be on 4HConnect and will open at 5:00 pm on Wednesday\, January 9\, 2019. \n  \nThe Texas 4-H Youth Development Program will once again host 4-H Day at the Capitol on Thursday\, March 14\, 2019. This event is designed as a citizenship experience for 4-H members of all ages to learn more about the state legislative process\, as well as meet their state representative and/or senator through an office visit. \nBecause this event is held during the legislative session and other organizations/groups are at the capitol on the same day\, the number of participants (youth and adults) must be limited. Registration will open on 4-H CONNECT on January 9\, 2019 at 5:00 pm and will remain open until January 25\, 2019 or until the event is filled.
