The Wharton County 4-H County Council is an organization comprised of elected Council officers and club representatives. The organization stresses youth leadership training and development, and meets to conduct business, educational meetings, plan community service projects, and enjoy the company of fellow 4-H’ers.
Attached you will find the Nomination Packet to be filled out for those individuals who wish to run for a 2021-2022 County Council Officer. Nomination packets are due back to the office by Noon on April 9th.
Below is the criteria to run for office:

Article III, Section 6
4-H members wishing to be nominated for a county-elected officer on the 4-H Council of Wharton must have served as a 4-H Council of Wharton member for at least one year, attended a majority of the meetings, and be an intermediate or senior 4-H member. Candidates must also complete an officer application form and interview. If a candidate will not be present at the time of the election, they must notify the Extension Office, or they will not be considered for office.
Article III, Section 8
Elections shall be by comprised of secret ballot, interview, and attendance.
