The council is made up of ten elected officers and 2 delegates from each 4-H club (both community and project) in Victoria County. Meetings are held in September, November, January, March, and May on the 2nd Tuesday, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Victoria County 4-H Activity Center. The Victoria County 4-H Council strives to meet the following goals:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Youth Representing Youth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Youth represent youth.<br \/>\n2. Youth help make decisions.<br \/>\n3. Youth work through committees.<\/p>\n<p><em>Council Delegates represent the interests of members:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>* From 4-H clubs to County 4-H Council<br \/>\n* From County 4-H Council to District 4-H Council<br \/>\n* On joint committees with County 4-H Leaders Association<br \/>\n* On the 4-H and Youth Development Committee<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Youth Helping Youth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Youth help youth.<br \/>\n2. Youth work together.<br \/>\n3. Youth make friends.<\/p>\n<p><em>Experienced council delegates are available to:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>* Train officers.<br \/>\n* Share program ideas and experiences.<br \/>\n* Explain basic 4-H ideas.<br \/>\n* Explain 4-H programs and events.<br \/>\n* Demonstrate skills and procedures in managing 4-H clubs and projects.<br \/>\n* Invite, welcome and encourage members.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Youth Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Youth develop citizenship skills.<br \/>\n2. Youth accept responsibility.<br \/>\n3. Youth solve problems.<\/p>\n<p><em>Council delegates gain knowledge and skills in:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>* Democratic parliamentary procedures.<br \/>\n* Working cooperatively in groups.<br \/>\n* Personal relations with others.<br \/>\n* Representing the interests of others.<br \/>\n* Solving problems.<br \/>\n* Accepting responsibility.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Youth Volunteering their Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Youth promote the 4-H program.<br \/>\n2. Youth raise funds.<br \/>\n3.
