SUMMARY:Water Efficient Recognized Green Professional Program
DESCRIPTION:The goal of the Water Efficient Recognized Green Professional program is to educate and recognize those green industry professionals who have a desire to create and maintain environmentally sound\, water saving\, attractive landscapes . Individuals working in the green industry will learn the basics of water efficiency in the landscape and methods to design\, build\, and maintain quality landscapes that use less water\, chemical inputs\, and maintenance to stay healthy and attractive. Those individuals who attend all the classes and complete the program will be recognized by listing their company\, and/or themselves\, on the Save Tarrant Water web page. The listing will be good for one year. The recognition listing can be renewed annually by participating in one of the class days. \nThe course will consist of five half days of instruction and hands-on activities over the course of nine weeks from January 11\, 2017 to March 8\, 2017. Each class will feature a different topic and both Texas A&M AgriLife and industry instructors. \nParticipants will be receive a course binder\, the 160 page Extension publication Earth-Kind Landscape Management\, a certificate of completion suitable for framing\, and a decal suitable for display on a work vehicle or office window.
