Dear 4-H Members and Families,<\/p>\n

Are you a high school student or will be one next year?\u00a0 Do you have a serious passion for livestock and\/or horses?\u00a0 Are you ready to take your 4-H experience to the next level?\u00a0 If you\u2019ve answered yes to these question then I highly recommend you apply for a spot on the Livestock or Equine Ambassador teams.\u00a0 These state level groups provide an intense short course training at one of three Universities.\u00a0 After this, you will be expected to assist in various Extension educational programs at the county and state level.<\/p>\n

If you are interested, please read the email from Billy Zanolini below.\u00a0 Tarrant County 4-H will also make scholarships available from our Tractor Supply funds to pay for a part of the $250 fee for the short course.\u00a0 The amount will depend on the number of attendees from our county.<\/p>\n

4-H Families,<\/p>\n

The Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador Program is coming off another groundbreaking year. In June 2018, 20 Ambassadors boarded a plane in Houston departing to South America to expand the worldviews of exceptional leaders in agriculture. Ambassadors engaged a valuable study abroad experience in the agriculturally-rich country of Argentina. With visits to family farms, historic ranches, feedlot tours and various production facilities, Ambassadors were able to immerse themselves in South America\u2019s agricultural production systems. In 2019, the program is continuing to expand to include South Texas. I am pleased to announce that we will offer a Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador Short Course in Kingsville in collaboration with TAMU Kingsville.<\/p>\n

Our hope is when you return from the course, you will find yourself eager to assist your local Extension agents with educational programs.\u00a0Below are the 2019 details and application link. Attached,\u00a0you will find a Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador promotional document.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech University\/West Texas A&M University \u2013 Lubbock\/Canyon July 22-25, 2019<\/em><\/p>\n

Cost: $250.00 (includes food and lodging)<\/p>\n
